“House Insurance - Making Signing up Hardwork”

House Insurance, Building and Content.
Not the cheapest Insurance around, with fairly frugal levels of cover and certainly they make it hardwork to apply.
The badpoints:
A clunky online website, managed to boot me out without saving my quote. Returning the online quote webpage failed to load.
Called the only telephone number I could find. No website help line. No fast-track to a human and had to sit through five minutes of irrelevant explanatory matter before finally got a human to speak to. Not much point as his script was limited to saying the website was alright for him. End of help.
Eventually the online quote page did load and worked through. Joint name year of birth was truncated so clicked to amend details only to be chucked out and had to work through all the pages (details saved from before) where Joint name birth was correct all along.
Recalculating quotes is very slow.
Very few options for refining your quotation, (compare to Axa). Nice help balloons appear at each entry point but really just an irritant as too sparse on the explanatory information.
No opportunity to print off the final bought quotation or even print off the Policy Number, all functionality removed. So what if no confirming EMail comes, you have no record of the amount taken nor any reference number.
A very unsatisfactory online web experience, hacks back to the bad old days of ten years ago. Things have got slicker since then, apart from the old Co-op stuck in the past.
Good point.
Why bother? Simply cannot find an Insurance provider where Customer reviews are not screaming about aggressive claim rebuttals and failure to reply to questions. Least worse of a very very bad bunch.
