“Credit Expert aka Experian taking money for no help at...”

written by on 26/02/2012

Hi, I joined credit expert (experian) in the first week of january 2012 as advised by a high street bank to obtain a credit report. I sent my credit report to the bank who then asked me to add a notice of correction to my credit file so they can put in a request for me to obtain a mortgage. Upon registering I found that my credit score was being affected by a default which I incurred whilst at university and my current credit card balance, I cleared my credit card balance and the score increased, however, when I asked credit expert to help me with my default, they told me that I need to ask for a 'NOTICE OF CORRECTION' to be added to my file. So, I used the template on the credit expert website and created a notice of correction and sent it to credit expert to check. They checked the notice of correction and called me and told me that they would add the notice of correction to my credit report within 7 days (I thought this is really good, I can get a notice of correction added and then close my account without having to pay another 15 pounds for the following month, and I could be on my way to buying my first property for myself and my wife to be). So I waited seven days and to my surprise, nothing had happened to my credit report, so I phoned credit experts (experian uk limited) and the friendly advisor told me that he was sorry that my file had not been updated and that he would put in another request and again asked me to wait seven days. Now two weeks have gone by and still no notice of correction on my file so I phoned credit expert and explained the situation, this time I was told that they can see that I have called twice and nothing has happened so they would put in an 'URGENT REQUEST' which would guarantee that the notice of correction would be on my file within four working days (i phoned on wednesday, so, thurs, fri, mon and tuesday it would be on my file). I waited five days just to give experian no excuses to try and fob me off over the phone, and when I checked, surprise surprise, still no notice of correction. I then emailed customer services and another department (letting them know how dissappointed I was with the service and questioned whether this was their way of making money from customers by failing to provide a service and continue stealing money from us) who emailed me back stating that the notice of correction is on my credit report (if this is the case then why can I not see i you LIARS? I checked my credit file and again, still nothing on there. Again I phoned credit expert but this time claire could not find the person who was supposed to be dealing with my file because they were away from their desk for lunch but she promised that she would personally phone me back when they get back from their lunch (its now been 5 days and this person is still on their lunch I assume becasue claire, like calvin, shabaz and david who all promised to call be back did not call back). When I complained to head office and customer support, I got no reply. Why do banks use these fraudsters. Equifax is really good, they get things done for you straight away. I have complained but my shouting is bouncing back from deaf ears. I asked experian to close my account and refund me for the whole of february because they have not done anything for me, and guess what, I have totally lost communication with the company, no calls, no emails and when I call, im being put on hold and then the phone cuts off or the person I need to speak to is busy eating lunch with my 15 pounds monthly subscription. If I knew all I was doing was feeding these LIARS AND CHEATS, I would have happily donated my money to a third world charity and fed real hungry and starving people, not people who take your money, lie to you over the phone and emails and then lose all communications with you when you ask for your money back. Who can I turn to? There must be a department of some kind that can help me? And are there any other people out there who have experienced problems with experian? I am a very calm and resilient person and do not wish to lower myself for this company but the foul words coming to mind right now are too extreme for this review. My advice to anybody wishing to obtain a credit report for a mortgage, ask your bank whether or not you can use equifax or any other reputable company, maybe your experience will be better than mine, but going by what they have done to me I would not want anybody else to go through this. Picture this, I have proposed to my girlfriend and she has accepted, I have a decent job and plan to buy a house to start a family with my wife to be, I make an offer for a house which is accepted and have the deposit ready, all the bank require is a notice of correction on my credit file which should take no longer than 21 day at maximum, over a month later after lies over the phone and emails, CREDIT EXPERT (EXPERIAN UK) still have NOT done anything for me but are continuing to take my money. I HATE THIS COMPANY TO THE FULLEST, PLEASE IF ANYBODY HAS ANY ADVICE ON HOW I CAN CLAIM MY MONEY BACK OR BETTER STILL JUST TO GET THE NOTICE OF CORRECTION PUT ON MY CREDIT FILE, PLEASE REPLY TO MY THREAD.

THANK YOU FOR TAKING TIME OUT TO READ MY REVIEW.
