I bought this in Academy size (between Harrow and SH for 5' 6" - 9" players) and it was brilliant. The middle is in the middle and lord it is way more powerful than all of my team mates' bats. The "Lightness with Power" sticker on the bat isn't some snazzy advertising slogan either, I have already expressed the power and this is what I think of the lightness. It is lighter than my Harrow sized Icon DXM 505 and about the same weight as my Purist I 505 size 6 (yes I am a Gunn & Moore addict). It cost me £86.99 but was the last in stock from cricketsales.co.uk and few sites have many left in Academy size. This bat is so good my little brother went off and bought an 808 Catalyst in Size 5 for £59.99 from cricketsales.co.uk (that was the last one they had too)! Although if Gunn & Moore made the Hero DXM in Academy size I would have got that without a second thought as I open the batting and am a profilic driver. This bat is like the Purist I and II

Very Good Bat with a very large sweet part. I simply love it. Its a nice light weight, its got wide edges and really long handles. the grip on the handle though is not the best and there are no shock resisters either. I would still recommend the Gunn & Moore Catalyst 808 junior cricket bat.
