After reading the above reviews I felt I had to write my own.

I have had my Magimix kettle for over 4 years now and its the best in a long line of expensive kettles i've owned over the years. I live in an area with very hard water and have resorted to using a water filter to minimise the effects of the limescale.

The water has continued to boil quickly and I've had no problems with the lid experienced by other users. Admitedly I have had to replace the original mesh filter as I managed to put my finger through it when cleaning! However Magimix replaced without any issues. Great customer service.

Using an ecloth on the outside keeps it mark free and it still looks great. As a tip, I got mine through Amazon warehouse deals, the only defect was its packaging and for that they reduced the price by £30 which in my opinion made it a bargin.
