“Beware if you're in the U.S.”

If you are in the U.S. do not order from Your order will get stuck in U.S. customs and you'll go through hell trying to get it. They say free shipping, but then you'll have to pay $50-$100 in customs duties to \"import\" your package. That is, if you can even get the shipping company to get in touch with you to tell you what, how and how much you need to pay. Evans customer service is no help in this at all, they don't respond to emails, and there isn't a toll free number to call if you're not in the UK. If one day Evans has a warehouse in the US I would consider ordering from them again, but absolutely not until then. I'm so disappointed. It's going on a month now since I placed my order, and really don't have much hope of ever seeing my package at all. What a waste of money and time. If you're still thinking about placing an order, read this first:

If you're in the same boat as me and have a package from Evans stuck in customs hell, try contacting Kevin dot Grimes at Aramex dot com. They seem to be the company responsible for the actual importing for Evans and dpd uk. You might also try arcadia at dpd dot co dot uk.
