“Review & Warning about bonus structure being a hindrance”

written by chris39 on 07/01/2012

888.com offers a wonderful array of slots you can play completely free by downloading from their site casino on net. However things change rapidly when you start playing for money. You might be attracted to play for money by their offer of free rolls and a bonus amount that matches your original investment and whilst you are busy paying your initial deposit a little chat window may appear and an 888.com employee might offer you a bonus that multiplies your initial deposit umpteen times at no extra cost and you think WOW and agree.HUGE MISTAKE. The bonus may appear wonderful & free and a benefit as they put it but actually it becomes the biggest hindrance of all time. You need to click on banking and then read the section on Bonus before you pay these companies any money.(I've been told this bonus culture is the same throughout the industry) Read the small print! This is not obvious or apparent until you are already committed and smacks of underhand jiggery pokery. The plan is to tie you to that particular company so you dont wander off but in reality if you have savvy you cant change company quick enough.Let me explain what I'm on about.I invested £38 thinking they would match my initial investment with the matching bonus free of charge making £76 in total. The lady in the chat window bumped it up to £100 and I thought b....y hell this is GREAT! I also got free rolls and enjoyed a great few hours playing a mass of amazing games & slots. I lost the lot and got down to £5. The following day I got my £5 up to £73 and decided to cash out £70 to buy something I wanted on ebay. Thats when I found out I should have rejected any free bonus & read the sections on banking & bonus. They said I had to bet 30 times the bonus they had given me.This is £62 x 30 = £1860. So before I could withdraw my £70 I already had to have bet £1860 and yes up to that point I had won a bit & lost a bit and my total bets had reduced that overall sum but it still meant I had to reinvest and carry on gambling with the company. The only way this could have been a benefit to me would have been if I had won a jackpot on one of the machines of millions and then lost a chunk of a few thousands before cashing out. That is the attraction of playing of course.I want the opportunity to win millions.Maybe I should not have thought about using 888.com slots as a means of increasing my initial £38 to £70 to buy something on ebay. But thats what I did and I lost it!
