“Responsive, accurate service”

On December 8th my daughter asked me to buy a particular book as a Christmas present. Google search brought up Chinese Bookshop and I tried to buy the book. My only complaint on the site is that it did not indicate the book was out of stock. I could not find any way to buy it though. Raising a ticket brought an immediate response (taking into account the time difference)explaining the book was out of stock. I asked when stock was expected and was told 2 weeks. I made a note to check the site in two weeks but was very pleasantly surprised to receive an email advising 2 copies had been received and recommending to be quick to avoid disappointment. I received an email confirming my purchase and explaining the means of despatch as well as anticipated delivery time of 2-3 weeks. Considering this was over the Christmas period receiving the package within 10 days was exceptional service.

As my daughter is studying Chinese I will use this site as go-to when I want a gift for her. The cost of postage for overseas was not high but I expect next time I will be able to mail within the UK. Even though I live in Singapore where Chinese is widely spoken I was unable to find the book she wanted (a translation of a popular English book) so thank you Chinese Bookshop for making two people VERY happy!
