I have have had my hair straightened with the Chi Japanese Hair Straightening system 5 times (every 6 months). After the first treatment I thought it was a miracle. I have always thought of my hair as punishment for something bad I did in my last life: It is a constant aggravation every single day; kinky, frizzy and extremely unattractive hair. It could look good curly with tons of product and about an hour to mould every strand, or blow dry for 40 minutes and one drop of humidity and poof - I'm right back where I started. So I thought I had died and gone to heaven with this treatment.



Well, the moral of the story is that if it seems too good to be true, it is. My hair has deteriorated with each treatment, until it is absolutely destroyed. Now I wish for my old nasty kinky hair; at least if felt and looked like hair. I have read that this is partially due to human error, as reapplying the solution without getting treated hair is difficult. I don't know who is to blame, but repeated treatments can be deadly to your hair! I would love to hear from others who have had repeated straightening treatments.
