“Disappointing”

We have two dogs and have used Asda Superior for a three years.

The premiums were good value but once you claim it's a different story.

We had no claims in the first two years, then three in one year, none of which are ongoing conditions, simply unlucky, and something not likely to be repeated.

Asda were very slow to settle the claims (when you call they say they've not received the forms but they admit to running a month behind so if you wait they do pay up eventually - as we pay the vet fees and claim them back that's not a huge issue and I wouldn't down-rate for that).

I've just received the renewals for our dogs and monthly premiums have more than doubled. If your pets have an ongoing condition I imagine you'd be stuck (£6000 with no time limit at the moment) and I'd wonder if the premiums would double year on year until the insurance costs become prohibitive.

Interestingly, if I re-run my dogs details through the Asda website the premiums appear to be much cheaper...
