“M2R 901 a motorcycle riders review”

written by Bobe7316 on 15/11/2011

Ok I bought this helmet on the 07.11.2011. I payed 100 dollars for it and no
body should EVER pay more than this for one of these helmets. Looking on the net I found that they are made in Vietnam assembled in Korea and from there
exported around the world. I took my new helmet from its box and tried it on.
Not a bad fit for round shaped heads. I tried the front flip up section and the clear visor that came with it. I heard a noise from the floor and found 2 plastic pieces that had broken out of the helmet some place. They were plastic pins that stop the visor from going up too far. I had to glue them
back in again. The alloy side screws that hold the flip up section came out ALL the time until I put loctite on them and then all was well. The D rings are too small to strap the helmet on with the flip up or down. I fitted bigger D rings off an old helmet (very difficult to do) and again all was well and I could now at least do the chin strap up properly. The clear finish scratches very easily and very quickly starts to look bad. Riding with this helmet even with a wind
shield is sheer agony as what sounds like a hurricane races around your ears.
This is an 80 dollar helmet in America and I was ripped by having to pay 100 dollars for one. I bought the one I have new from the web and had it mailed to me but I have seen them for sale in our 2 local motorcycle shops for 225 dollars each so buyer beware.
