“Prices doubled from last year, since takeover!”

We have stayed at St. Ives Bay holiday park every year for the last 30+ years, often twice a year. We took the whole family (our kids, and when they grew up they still came and brought their kids). Since retiring a few years ago, my wife and I have stayed here every September, for a quiet time, once the kids are back at school. Last year, it cost us around £750 for 2 weeks in September, in one of their top caravans. Sadly, St. Ives Bay holiday park has been taken over by Away Resorts, and the prices are practically double what we paid last year, £1404, for the same accommodation in September! (They have changed the names of the caravans, but that doesn’t fool me). I’ll find somewhere else to stay!
