“This company does not deal with complaints”

My friend and I have just returned from the Edinburgh Tattoo and I am so sad that Leger do not seem to have any respect for their passengers.


First and foremost the good points -

The coach was wonderful, clean and comfortable and probably the best coach I have been in.

The drivers were excellent in every way and could not be faulted.

The Hotel and Staff -

We stayed in the Normandy Hotel in Renfrew where the rooms were quite shabby, but that was okay because our room was clean. The staff were marvellous and unfortunately some of the guests were so frustrated with no response from Leger regarding their complaints their frustration was taken out on the staff who dealt with everything professionally.

This hotel is an airport hotel not a holiday hotel - the first notice we received said “we are not offering Stay Service if you want clean towels, coffee, tea etc just collect from reception,”. I must admit that was a surprise, but the following day we understood what this meant - we had to make our own beds, wash our own cups, the bath and the sink and request clean towels?? I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and this has never been the case in any other hotel. We did not need to set our alarms as every morning we woken at 6am as the hotel is 1.6 miles from the airport, but an hour and a half from Edinburgh. The food on the first night really was not acceptable, but the chef was replaced and the food was greatly improved.

You can image the discontent when passengers on the other buses told us they were staying at the Radstone Hotel, Larkhall. - the photographs of the hotel show beautiful, modern bedrooms, bars, lounges and even a swimming pool.


Obviously, several guests, including myself have rung your customers service, where our complaints seem not to have been taken seriously and all requests to speak to a manger have been rejected - “Our managers don’t speak to customers?” What a strange way to run a company.
