“Good location, on bus route to Paphos, value for money”

Aphrodite Sands Resort is a lovely complex with two pools, fitness centre and health spa. Beautiful well cared for gardens. Although we booked a one bedroomed apartment we were allocated a two bedroomed one which was a bonus. Although the bedrooms were of a good size the living accommodation was quite small and even in the 2 bedded apartment 4 people using the lounge/kitchen/dining area would find it cramped. Everything was very clean although more crockery would have been appreciated - only 4 of everything no bowls to make a salad in etc. Ok for us as we were only two but a bit of a pain if there was full occupancy. The decor was plain but I do feel lampshades and not bare bulbs having from ceilings would have enhanced the look of the accommodation. There were no mirrors, dressing tables or chairs in the bedrooms and the mirrors in the bathrooms were too far from any sockets so drying ones hair was a bit of an issue.

The biggest problem was on arrival. Trying to find where to check in, in the pitch dark (as our arrival time was in the evening) was difficult. Our taxi driver did not know the complex so we stumbled around guided by the solar lights around the pools until we managed to find someone to point us in the right direction. I would definitely suggest more signs. We were not the only ones to find this a problem, we were asked the following morning by new arrivals where to go - so this is definitely something which should be addressed.

All in all we had a lovely time. Buses only run a few times a day so if you want to get around best hire a car. That way you can also get to Timi beach which we loved.
