We purchased our bungalow 18months ago and thought it felt colder than perhaps it should have been, given that there were clear signs that cavity insulation had been installed some years previously.
I sent a letter and photos to CIGA and purchased a copy of the guarantee (that had not been available at the time of our house purchase). CIGA referred me to the Warmer Group and we subsequently received a visit from the MD of the company.
He was able to confirm that there was justifiable cause of concern with the original installation in 2008 and with no quibbles arranged for a team to return to the property to redrill and refill the cavities. The work was carried out efficiently and conscientiously by two polite and helpful operatives, who cleaned up after themselves. I don't know what went wrong with the first installation, but have nothing but praised for the way the remedial work was assessed, organised and executed.
