I bought a ticket to Thailand through Kayak. I also purchased a cancellation for any reason insurance. Then Thailand got closed for tourists, so I contacted Chatdeal (subsidiary of Kayak for customer service). I spent the whole day trying to "chat" with them - their robot said the agent will contact you. Then - 2 hours later - someone else asked what I needed. I said I need to cancel my trip and get my refund - I never heard a word back (was on the chat line for 7 hours. Tied to do it again in a week, the same situation.
