We booked my daughter’s hen party through Fantastic Weekends in January 2021. It was a large house for 13 with a hot tub, bbq and lovely grounds.

We paid the deposit on 7th February to secure the house, as requested, for the hen party at the end of July. We paid in full in 17th May, again as requested and thought everything was great.

However, On 6th June we received an email from the owner with the following information:
“I’m sorry to tell you that the house we booked for you has been double-booked.
The Hotels Team tried to make payment but the owners could not accept the payment due to the over-sight”

He went on to say there was nothing available in our price range apart from a hotel which we didn’t want for such a large party. There was no offer of support towards another venue or compensation at the time so we had no choice but to get a refund.

It took several emails to get the refund and when it came it was less than we paid so we had to send further emails to get the whole amount.

The owner is very rude, obnoxious and arrogant. He said it wasn’t his fault and showed very little empathy. He is very disrespectful and dismissive also.

According to Companies House, the company is owned by LC but it states they only have one employee so who the “Hotels Team” is that he refers to in his email is anyone’s guess! He blames the house owner for double booking but who knows!

After several emails and threats of the small claims court The owner did eventually offer a £300 credit note but this has not been forthcoming, in fact in a recent email he has said there is “not a chance” of getting anything from him!

Unfortunately, we have not been able to secure a venue for the hen party so it has been cancelled.

Please don’t make the same mistake we did by putting our trust in this company. Go somewhere more reputable!
