For the time being I suggest that you do not make any orders with Scotts of Stow.
We received their catalogue with an introductory 'cheque' offer. We tried several times to order a filing cabinet on line however the 'cheque' code was not recognised. We then called the order line and again the 'cheque' code was not recognised. A day later we were called back and it was explained that the 'cheque' code was indeed a widespread error and the discount was then applied manually to the order.
The cabinet arrived by Hermes today - it is a total flat pack which is not explained in the product description.
We immediately opened the box and started unpacking. Two of the first pieces unpacked were already broken beyond repair which makes the whole cabinet useless.
We called customer services at 11.30 am only to receive an answer phone message that customer services was closed and only open between 9am and 5pm!
We then called the order line to be told that the entire computer system has been 'down' for several days and therefore nobody is in a position to help. We were told that our enquiry/complaint would be passed over to customer services but we would have to wait up to 7 days for a response as they are currently extremely busy dealing with a backlog of complaints!
It was explained that when customer services do get in contact we will need to repack the cabinet and sent it back to Scotts of Stow who will then issue a replacement or refund. We enquired whether Scotts of Stow will organise and pay for the courier but it appears not.
Unfortunately Scotts of Stow prove that if you buy cheap, you pay twice.
