“West Highland Way - amazing holiday that I will never...”

In august 2011 I went on a walking holiday for the very first time. I am a keen walker but have only ever walked with friends on easy forest paths. I heard of the West Highland Way years ago and decided it was a challenge I wanted to take so I searched the internet looking for guides and help. Then I found this company Explore Outdoors and after many emails I decided to book.

The Walk:
It was hard work, but stunning. Every day was a different sort of experience. The scenery was amazing but the weather was difficult at times. If you want to see Scotland at its best this is the way to do it. I loved every shattering second of it!

The Company:
They were simply fantastic. They arranged everything! They sort all your B&B's on the route, they move all your bags and they help you every step of the way. However, the best thing was that both our guides were just so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They made sure I was always ready for the next day and even went out of their way to drive all of us to the pub one evening when we couldn't face the walk!

Conclusion:

I have never done a trip like this and was very nervous about the whole thing but I had no need to be! If you want to do an incredible walk so the West Highland Way and if you want to use a lovely guide then use Explore Outdoors.
