“Refinancing a car on HPI”

Written on: 14/10/2011

We recently went back to refinance our car that we got from a dealer, because of job changes and more miles we needed a economical diesel.

We went in, chose a car and went through the paperwork. We've had calls back from the garage saying that Black Horse is DEMANDING a deposit otherwise we will NOT get finance, and the payments are on random tiers.

We already paid a deposit of £2,000 2 years ago for our previous vehicle, seems really bad to make customers redeposit when refinancing to a cheaper monthly payment.

Our new vehicle is down from £280 a month to £180, and we did this for affordability, we don't have the cash for the money demanded by black horse, which is making the whole point of making the payments affordable, un-affordable.

Keep away from Black Horse, this is the only company I've ever known have this issue.
