“Only owning it, is understanding it.”

- Class D amplification is efficient but means electrical whirring noises.
- Noisy when turned on.. whirr click tick clack...
- no pure mode, just selections of cheesy equalizer and surround settings.
- old WinXP computer for PC link software, difficult for win10..but possible
- look of stereo is what? cyberpunk/anime/cheesy/retro/eh?
- fake vu meters that bounce around seemly random? mmm..
- awkward shaped air farting blowing ported speakers that look a little stupid.

i turned it on, played a CD.. and the earth moved!
the vu meters that flash orange.. look fantastic! lol

*controlling YouTube on your PC/laptop with your Philips fwm589 remote*

The sound is so absolutely amazing, you time warp to a grinning teenager!
Its look.. all makes sense after this,
it's quite a piece of creative work in the end.

it's good points demolishes the bad,
the Philips designer has a sense of humor to surprise you.

RATING: It is an audio earthquake.
