This old pub used to be The Kings Arms, and has retained its local village pub function. However, there is now a large dining room, a dedicated food lover in charge, and a great young chef. A word also for the waitresses (they are far more than that) who are second to none. This place has the best service ever encountered by this near professional eater.
Go here for the best fish in the region, and for super unusual veggies. Go also for the steak, and the 3 course budget lunch menu.
As if that wasn't enough, it is set in a most beautiful part of Monmouthshire, with rolling countryside all around, and Wentwood just up the road. Great for hikers - huge network of footpaths all around this village.
Highly recommended.
