I bought some Altberg (Alt-berg?) Malham boots nearly a year ago, and whilst I might have baulked a bit at the time over the price (£175), I have absolutely no regrets in purchasing them. I tried quite a few other boots from well-know manufacturers such as Scarpa and Salomon beforehand, but these were definitely the most comfortable.
My feet seem to sweat a lot and I've always had difficulty with boots rubbing and blistering heels and toes in the past (even though I've bought correctly fitting boots), but just don't seem to have that problem with Altbergs. Many Continental boots don't seem to give enough room at the back of the boot for the heel protrusion, but these Altbergs are just fine. Made in the UK.
I'd not hesitate in recommending anyone to consider boots from this manufacturer.
