During my 3 year tenancy of renting a property in Methley, Leeds, I can describe my experience with Linley & Simpson to be diabolical and unprofessional at best.
They consistently ignore emails and phone calls, they consistently fail to communicate between staff and departments and their behaviour and manner of operation is untrustworthy, unfair and very underhanded.
I was not allowed to be present for the checkout report of the property due to their COVID-19 operating procedures (although the government at this time recommended a 1 metre distance rule!).
I had major concerns regarding this practise due to a break down of trust I had developed during my 3 years of having to deal with them and had a question mark on whether they would complete this report correctly and fairly in a professional way.
Well surprise surprise they didn’t, and like many other reviews on both this and other websites, they completed this report in an underhanded and unfair manner by trying to charge for ‘extra cleaning’. Linley and Simpson confirmed they found the property to be left in an excellent standard but believed the carpet (which had been down for several years!) was slightly grubby! I had paid to have the carpets professionally cleaned and of course after all these years of wear and tear was never going to resemble a new one, but they are still trying to bill for this.so BEWARE, they will try and syphon cash from you at every opportunity! Luckily for me I took lots & lots of pictures, so if necessary will take this to court should they continue to hound me for extra cash!
