“Computer says no”

Our son used (with our permission) our debit card to purchase web hosting for a blog site he has set up and wanted to move to fasthosts form another provider. The transfer didnt go through because of some system prob or something and as such he had to renew with his old web host for fear of losing the domain name as fasthosts hadnt sorted out the issue.
Despite never having moved the domain name over and using the service, fasthosts wouldnt refund the money and instead offered a free domain name to go on the hosting account they said was not refundable (even though was their fault).
This was declined but the worst thing about the whole sorry affair is that they (12 months) on, took out a further payment ro 'renew' the service we had never used!!!!!!
Everytime you speakl to them they just quote "its in our terms and conidtions", wont see sense and are in my mind, sharks.
