“Steadfast refusal to Reprint faulty prints”

My situation: I had a big batch of prints made by Photobox and delivered over a year ago. I checked a number of these packs and the photo quality seemed fine so i packed them away in a dark cupboard until I had the strength of will to open them up and start albumming them. When I did so I found that 50 or so of the 1,500 prints i had ordered were of shocking quality. They were out of focus and the colours all wrong. No relation to the original photos which were absolutely fine. It was clearly a factory/printing malfunction.
When I got in touch with Photobox about this and explained ( all I was requesting was that these dodgy prints be reprinted, that was all) They stated that as this was out of the warranty period and there was nothing they could do.
What shocking customer service. I paid a lot of money for 1,500 prints, 50 or so of which have clearly been printed extremely badly and they can't take responsibility for it.
Very disappointed.
