Car was booked and pre-paid with maximum insurance cover, on line. At the airport charges were made which they claimed was a deposit held for fuel, and if the car was returned with a full tank it would be refunded The company charged my credit card and I have now discovered that the “deposit” included a duplicate charge for the hire plus extra insurance which I am trying to recover. The credit card -Tesco MasterCard - say there is nothing I can do because it was a chip and pin transaction. There is no reply to any of the on line numbers for customer service. Shame I had to award one star to complete the review because this is way more than they are worth! Although the car served us through the week’s hire it was in desperate need of some TLC.
