“Black&Dekker Trimmers”

I have had three B&D lawn trimmers each bigger and hopefully stronger. All had prominent design faults either with the motor drive or with the fitting of the driving head to the shaft/flexible drive. Will they ever get around to looking at their failures instead of just bring out new models with the same faults.
Also it is well nigh impossible to buy all but the simplest spares.E.g. I want new gears for my latest but all I can buy is a belt. The motor is as new but the plastic toothed gear is practically smooth - if I want a gear I must buy the whole motor.
Never again will I touch a B&D product.
