“Excessive bureaucracy”

Written on: 18/09/2019 by 414McKenzie (1 review written)

For an invoice payment in Hong Kong, they asked me "original incorporation documents" of my beneficiary, signed by Registry of Commerce HK.
I provided them online printscreens from the official website of the Registry of Commerce HK, with all needed company information (free source, accessible to anybody), as well as documents sent by beneficiary, but not stamped.
They did not accept - I had to provide documents of incorporation stamped and signed by Registry of Commerce HK.
In my country, for example, documents of incorporation are not even signed and stamped by Registry of Commerce and stamps are not mandatory by law anymore.
I have no idea what's the law in HK and I can not oblige my supplier to send me all his company data.
I disliked very much my interaction with TRANSFERMATE in this particular case.
For other payments made, they moved fast.
