Do not under any circumstances use B&Q`s Click & Collect service!
I ordered three fence panels through the Click & Collect service
recently. The website indicated the items were in stock so I paid
for them via Paypal. I received a confirmation email fron B&Q stating that the items were ready for collection. Upon arrival at the store I was told that only one of the three panels was in stock, despite the website indicating they had them and the confirmation email indicating the same. I asked for a full refund.
This where the hassle begins. In order to give a refund, the store
blatantley says the items have been collected by myself.
They then say I have asked to have the items returned. Items that I do not possess. Incredibly, they even organised a courier to come and collect the none existent items from my home. To add insult to injury they still have my money.
Paypal normally has instant refunding in place. Apparently B&Q
do not care about this and see fit to hang on to my money and make me wait. Surely there is something illegal about this. I am shocked that a company as big as B&Q see fit to treat customers this way. Why do they even charge for goods up front before collection? Please DO NOT use Click & Collect at B&Q.
