“Stay Away! Forced Services Charged”

Upon arriving to pick up the vehicle that was “paid in full” with additional insurance purchased online at I was told that the insurance I contracted w/ the the booking company was no good.

To pick up the vehicle I was required to pay “Full Coverage” Insurance at 69.95€ a day ($2098 a month!) or I would required to deposit 1100€ which would be returned immediately after drop off but takes up to a month to release hold.

I was also auto charged the 23€ Refill service charged regardless of wether I brought the tank back full or not so I might as well bring it back empty. This “Quick Return System” is clearly just another way to pump your bill up w/ the additional insurance they shove sown your throat. Complete high jack of forced services.

To top it off both cars they had available had multiple areas of damage. Clearly these folks collect money on insurance and do not improve the vehicles to original state of quality.

I ended up paying 59.46€ (after haggling about required insurance, they gave me a 15% discount) + 23€ for forced “Quick Return System” 89.46€ for a vehicle which was paid in full.

I just picked up a vehicle with Europcar and the refill fees were optional, insurance was not forced, and the deposit for 26 days was only 350€. Great service compared to Goldcar
