“Avoid!!”

We were visited In January and agreed a price, signed the contract and paid a deposit. We made in excess of 40 calls and were always promised a call back citing problems with the finance company. We finally get a call at the end of May to advise that they have misquoted but if we paid an extra £1600, they would complete at weekend. we refused and they advised they would cancel and refund. We then got a very desperate and pressurised call 2 days ago asking us to let their 'best' fitter to come and discuss with us. They could not confirm the original price. We refused and they are now alleging as 'we' cancelled it is unlikely we will get a refund!.
Having since read other reviews online, it appears that it is becoming a tactic of theirs to collect the deposit and use whatever means possible to just keep this.
According to other sites, the 'good reviews are not genuine
