“Nice Hardware but the OS & Some Apps Take Time to Learn”

Written on: 02/08/2011 by pdb1981 (1 review written)

I bought this machine for my parter 3 months ago and she loves it

The quality of the physical thing is far higher than most windows machines out there, it is a beautiful thing to look and feel.

However the operating system really is not that intuitive at time when you have come from a windows environment. One example is that where you can alt + tab in windows and flick between every individual one. Where as on the Apple, you can only seem to flick between applications, not their seperate windows.

Other points to note are that the mice do not seem as responsive as a windows machine. I have tweaked settings and seem to still get the same result. Despite using and apple mouse.

One other thing, get Microsoft Office for Apple. iWork totally sucks. Apart from the animated graphs in keynote, it is not very good!
