“Still have not received items I paid for”

My online experience: Ordered and paid for on the 02/07/11 confirmation email sent the same day. Dispatch confirmation email sent on the 06/07/11. Estimated delivery to Australia from the UK 5-8 working days. Till this day I have not received my parcel. There are no current strikes or labor disruptions in the postal service for either countries, no weather disruptions nor is it a a public holiday. What could possibly be causing such a delay. No help from customer service at all except for the usual "please allow another week". Unfortunately I had plans to wear this outfit to an event this coming week. Does not look like thats going to happen and I thought I allowed ample time for possible delays thus making an early purchase. Not happy with the service at all. Buyer beware!!
