It's not true that Expedia.com has terrible customer service, though it's true that the first few times I tried calling, no one would pick up. Finally someone picked up and I explained to her that I found a better price. I was put on hold for around 20 minutes while she consulted with her advisers, but in the end, Expedia.com refunded me 450$ and threw in a 50$ coupon.
They have my trust, would definitely use their services again.
