“Yes Car Insurance are cheats!”

I went with Yes Car Insurance last year as they were the cheapest, luckily I never needed to claim for anything so there were no issues there.

This year I went on line and once again went with the cheapest insurer, two weeks later in the midst of an emergency when needing a large amount of funds very quickly I was shocked to find Yes Car Insurance had taken over £900 out of my account with not one letter, new quote or any paperwork what so ever except a new certificate which arrived 2 days later. So now I had two lots of car insurance on my car and was out of pocket massively.

On calling them I was told I should have received a letter and that on my last year's documents about half way through on page 12 of the small print I would have seen notification of automatic renewal. They then decided they would charge me for all of this. They needed my new Insurance certificate from them and proof of my new insurance certificate through my actual choice of insurer plus a covering letter. I sent all of this recorded, next day delivery and phoned 2 days later, they somehow couldn't find my letter until I told them I had a tracking number and it magically appeared on their system. They said I should get my funds minus their fees within 5 day. Today 5 days later I call again and guess what?? They can't find proof of my letter and documents!! I have to tell them once again about the tracking number, I get put on hold & as if by magic they can find the documents but this time the authorisation to release the funds has only been done today!! I ask why this is and it is because they only received their certificate of Motor insurance today but received my proof of the other documents last week... THEY WERE IN THE SAME ENVELOPE!!! So frustrating and I am still waiting for funds now and the worse thing is that there is absolutely nothing I can do about this.

I would never use them again and I am extremely angry at the position they have left me in at an extremely bad month!
