Good Points
5* Luxury, fabulous beachside location, impecable service with beautiful bedrooms (we had sea view)
Every comfort you could possibly wish for at the stunning hotel.

Bad Points
None- Can't be faulted- Will be back!

General Comments
We stayed at the Shangri-la's Rasa Sayang Resort in August 2003 and had a wonderful holiday. The 5* Rasa Sayang Resort shares facilities with the 4 star sister hotel The Golden Sands resort which was recommended for families, but we found we were happier at Rasa Sayang, the main reason being that apart from the obvious extra luxury being 5 star, we could watch our 2 children in the pool and keep an eye on them better at Rasa Sayang.



It never felt crowded, and the choice of eating places here are wonderful.



Most of the rooms are being refurbished in a typical Malay-style we were lucky to stay in one and we couldn't wish for better!

The garden club rooms are not really my taste except for the bathrooms they were much bigger than average with a seperate shower and are amazing.



We particularly enjoyed lazing by the pool, having lunch served at our own table- al fresco then settling down for a massage with the reflexologist- bliss.



The colourful night market starts right outside and is a must for designer(copy) bargains like "Gucci" "Burberry" "Christian Dior" purses, wallets and handbags as well as local "batik" souvenirs- remember to haggle.



One thing I thought may have been better was the distinct lack of entertainment on an evening, on a 2 week stay (as we had) it would be nice to have one or two evenings with some kind of organised entertainment on an evening.



Very good value for money- even room service was not expensive if you compare what you got for your money against a holiday in the med.



Well worth a visit and we can't wait to return- Fantastic!
