“Charged for fuel”

We picked up our car from Alicante Airport and paid full for full on fuel.
When we got the car it only had a quarter of a tank. And the man at the desk signed the invoice to confirm this .
He said that all cars that day weren’t refilled as they had , had a problem.
We returned it with half a tank and they signed it off.
BUT a few days later we got taken off of our credit card 78 euros for fuel.
I have contacted then over and over but so far they will not reply.
We have been renting cars for over 15 yrs in spain and have never had a problem until now.
So we will never rent from these people again !!!
