“Knight in shining armour”

I had just been for lunch with a friend of mine, who is unfortunately seriously ill. I had a puncture It was a cold and wet day. Not ideal
My first concern was to get my friend safely home, and she arranged a taxi.

I called the breakdown service, fully expecting to be waiting a couple of hours
The Initial phone call was helpful and clear, establishing that I was safely off the road, and also that I was a mature woman on my own

I found a book, settled down and waited

To my delight and surprise, the breakdown van arrived within an hour of my phone call. The mechanic was helpful, and efficient. He soon had me on my way.

I have never used a breakdown service before. I was delighted

My experience has made me feel safer when I am out and about, in the certainty I will get a speedy response if I breakdown
