“Worse than useles ”

This is a review of the service I have received from Wheelies over the last 3 weeks.
My bike was stolen from my garage a month ago and as a result I had to claim via my house insurance. The claim was dealt with quickly by my insurance company and Wheelies vouchers were issued promptly.
I searched the Wheelies website and found what I would class as my "Dream Bike". The bike in question was showing on the website as "in stock" "usually dispatched in 3-5 days"... obviously I was pleased to see this as I really needed a replacement bike quickly.
My order was placed and I got the usual confirmation email. Then silence for a week! I emailed Wheelies after 7 days and asked what was going on? Apparently my order was being delayed as the bike was not due to arrive from their suppliers for another week! At the time of writing this review over 3 weeks has passed and I've heard nothing further from Wheelies ... I have emailed them several times asking for updates but so far I have been met with a "wall of silence". Buying a bike online is not something I would usually do but I had no choice due to the way my insurance company settled the claim.
After this experience I will definitely not be using Wheelies for anything else in the future. How a company can operate like this is beyond me. Absolutely shocking communication! Having my bike stolen was bad enough but having to go through this farce has left a very sour taste in my mouth.
If my new bike ever arrives I'll be completely amazed!
Use Wheelies at your peril is my advice.
Why show items as "in stock" if they aren't? This is misadvertising as far as I'm concerned
