“Kef Coda 8”

Written on: 14/05/2019 by funkbeatsjazz (1 review written)

Fantastic bass reflex bookshelf speaker that can be had for Beer money £25/£50 mint or less, I've owned over 200 pairs of speakers in my time bit of an obsession finding the perfect speaker we all know it does not exist like humans they all have their weaknesses but if its good to your ears keep them, i have had everything from Quad/Linn/Tannoy/Bowers and Wilkins and loads of others from 60s/70s/80s/90s even new stuff just because they are old does not mean they are rubbish, bang for buck these cant be beaten they have more bass than the coda 7, but sometimes we all know that can be a weakness as takes mid detail away theses seem to do it no problem, there little brothers Coda 7 just brilliant better in some ways which is odd as these go lower in frequency than the coda 7, like coda 7 imaging is fantastic, positioning they don't care put them anywhere, the mids are fantastic also and the tweeter is very laid back so non fatiguing can listen to these and coda 7 for hours, detail is good i know people who have the coda 7s hooked up to 4k systems just because they are so natural these are a future classic if not already a real hidden gem of a speaker if u find a pair get them keep them they wont break the bank yet?, watch out as the tweeter on some are prone to giving up or pushed in from little hands so check before you buy fantastic fantastic fantastic bookshelf speaker!
