“+ Cheap - Long queue and aggressive insurance selling”

The shuttle service was good, the driver friendly and we were taken to rental collection about 5 mins away. They were the least expensive in the search.

Upon arrival took a ticket to get in the queue for service. There were three members of staff but each transaction seemed to take about 15 mins. After 90 mins wait got to the front of the line.

The agent was aggressive on selling me 86 euro of extra insurance to avoid 1200 euro being reserved on my card as a deposit. I already had taken cover with a third party for all excesses and told her so. "But I must explain" and she went on to tell me about the cover. I told her I did not want it and that should go ahead take the deposit. After several more "You do not understand" and "I must explains" lost the plot and told her firmly that I did not want the insurance, to reserve the 1200 euro and give me a car.

Very grumpy agent completed the transaction in silence.

The car had 60% of a tank of fuel, which given the hire was full to full is poor but having invested 2 hours of my life in collecting the car so far did not bother to talk about it. Feels like a scheme to get car returned with more fuel that it went out with.

They have a low price but balanced against long wait, pressure insurance selling and 60% of a tank of fuel I will not use them again, 20 euro more to receive customer service and get on with the holiday is worth it to me.
