Customer service at Purley Specsavers is dreadful. Staff are either untrained or patronising and rude. I complained that the vision in my new glasses was 'blurry' and the focus point was in the wrong area of the lenses. Rather than apologise and admit that the fitting taken by their staff had been incorrect, and try to remedy the situation by ordering new lenses, I was told it was my fault for not allowing at least 2 weeks to adjust to the new lenses! 3 members of staff told me differing advice (all of which was incorrect). I heard one member of staff tell another that they received gifts from customers by being 'cheeky' (not by being polite or professional). I also heard another customer complain of the service and poor quality glasses (which had now broken 4 times) whilst I was there. They eventually tried to help but the problem has not been solved and I am now stuck with over £300 worth of glasses which are useless to me. Specsavers have refused to get the lenses fixed or give a refund.
My suggestion is thorough customer training; learning to admit to mistakes and saying sorry and fixing the problem immediately rather than try to blame the customer. The glasses are useless - cannot see much. Total waste of money.
