“Worst mistake of our lives”

We came to Everest thinking we could trust them based on their heritage; we couldn’t have been more wrong. We cancelled after 12 days when we realised we were mis-sold the finance. After 6 weeks of phone calls, letters and emails, they were adamant that it was us who breached the contract by cancelling out of the 7 days so they were not going to return our deposit to us. I thought the law was a 14 day cooling off period but they hide behind the small print of the contract that you feel pressured to sign. After the stress they have put us through, I wish we could do more to damage them and I hope at least some people reading this take my advice and avoid Everest. Find a local company who are verified on Checkatrade and read their reviews first. Thankfully, our bank has refunded us in full.
