“Appalling customer service”

Booked an all inclusive holiday to Turkey two weeks ago. Due to fly out tomorrow, recieved a phone call from Broadway Travel this morning advising that the hotel we had booked was closed. We were told it would not be ready until July, so why didn't they tell us this when we booked!! They offered another hotel but this was in a remote area and trip advisor reviews were terrible. Offered yet another hotel and told we would have to pay £13.00 pp extra.....why should we....we didn't cancel our hotel! So they waived the extra charge, but we were then told that this hotel was fully booked. Offered another hotel for an additional £120 pp. We said we couldn't afford this and were told basically take it or leave it. Said we wanted to a full refund and were told that if we cancelled this was subject to a 100% cancellation fee. There attitude was terrible...not at all helpful. Can't help feeling that this whole booking has been a scam. Why leave it until today to tell us that the hotel was closed. Broadway Travel look out, because we will report you to the office of Fair Trading and we will be taking legal action to recover our money. You have breached the terms of contract and offered a hotel that clearly was never going to be available for the dates booked. my advice to would be holiday makers....don;t use Broadway Travel...they are con artists!!
