I am using the saw to cut mostly medium to large maple and alder. The saw runs great, always starts on the first or second pull. I am careful to keep debri from falling into bar oil resevoir and have had no lube troubles. I only use fresh gas.



My only complaint is the life of the chain. It does not seem to last very long before the chipping turns to fine sawdust. I even had the chain professionally sharpened. Stihl has many chain performance options but I can't say I have found the same thing with husky. I have heard some get good results by using a Stihl chain. This is not a practice that is officially recognized by Husky or by Stihl and i am reluctant to try it.
