I found Pet Planet through generally searching online for a cat litter tray and I was pleased to see they had a fairly priced corner litter tray that was hooded with a swinging flap and the option to remove the hood if preferred which has been handy for keeping a quick eye on when it needs changing. My cat is fairly large too, like a small dog almost so I was concerned that choosing a closed in corner one might feel to claustrophobic for her as she's old. I started off with the lid off and then placed lid on once I knew she was using it so all good so far. I was careful to choose one that wasn't too high an opening for her to step into with her being old and she is managing it fine. I think I would have liked to known what height the opening was from the floor as it would've helped me have more confidence to know it was a height she could manage. I did remove the flap but have now covered it with the hood and she seems relaxed using it.
