“Good vetting process and a human face (voice)”

Most big banks offer poor service when considering mortgage applications. Refreshing to find a smaller bank that will actually consider slightly different buyers/loan applications. If you are older or have a slightly different profile this bank seem to be more interested. The vetting was done mainly over the phone with one person who processed the application and could provide advice on the likelihood of success. Compare that with the 'we don't make decisions only pass on the details' of the big banks and societies. A little slow and sometimes confusion over branch verifying id etc but overall a good bank that seems to treat you as a human. Also decent rates. Would use again and may even switch my bank account to them. Also useful is their branches being open evenings.
