“Charging money for nothing”

I have rented a car with Europcar France at Nice airport in July 2018. To start with, the queue was about 2 hours long. The car was good but nothing special, Hyundai i-20. When I was returning the car the woman inspecting the car found a mini-scratch on a wheel trim. It was really tiny and I claim I had nothing to do with it. I refused to sign the document but the people in Nice forged my signature claiming I accepted the damage. To repair the so-called damage, they painted over the tiny scratch and charged my MasterCard 340 Euro for this. I complained to MasterCard and Europcar. Europcar France never replied. Eventually (after more than 3 months) Europcar UK apologized to me and returned all money back.

Summary: Please avoid Europcar France (Nice). However, Europcar in general may not be too bad but I will never ever use them again.
