General Comments
I got my Apple iPod Nano as a reward for signing up with Telus. A tip for you ipod owners who complain about finger prints, take a pinch of baking soda, and rub it on the prints. They are gone! Your ipod has less scratches and is super shiny. Just dont get it gunked in the click wheel! I only have about 20 songs on it as of now, but they are all in raw format; There's no need to copmpress them with 2 gb of space! All my music sounds great, so long as i'm not using apple headphones. I have had a long history with trying out apple products, and have never ,ever, been disapointed. I couldnt buy them , because I could buy two generic things for the price of one apple product. Logic told me that even if one broke, I could buy another one and another one. Apple is just too over priced. So, with the huge price tag, you would think the headphones would be of excellent quality, like the ipod itself. Wrong. They are of terrible quality, if you like earbud headphones, I suggest you get a real pair. Things under $10 dont count as real. They lose the rich detail of the uncompressed music that the iPod can handle, making the ipod's sound quality useless. This is like eating caviar with a paper plate, plastic fork, and salt and pepper as seasoning. (i havent eaten caviar. dont tell me they dont eat caviar with salt and pepper, okay?). Plus, at high volume they click, I read the click is eliminated with suction so, I sucked air past the headphones and it really works! but come on, are you going to attach a vacuum to these headphones? They also break easily which is typical for headphones, but not of Apple. The headphones are my biggest gripe. I am very disappointed with Apple for letting the quality fall so low. I bought some panasonic ones for $40 (the type that looks like ear muffs) then I could see the fuss about the iPod. It sounded just as good as music from my pc, if not better! That is saying alot, seeing as a computer is a heck of a lot bigger than an iPod.
Another good point is that the ipod is so small, it is a little to wide if you ask me, but it is slim enough. It will slide into the smallest of jean pockets. The features were nice, the watch is accurate too. I havent lost a minute since i tuned it last, which was about 6 months ago. The games are also nice, but get boring after a while. This is acceptable when you think that the iPod is made to be a music player. I also like the fact you can use it as a usb drive, you look at the price of a usb drive, and then it starts making sense to buy one. If you need a usb drive and like music, the value of the ipod is a solid 9. A 4gb would serve the purpose better, but the 2 gb is still enough room, even if you fill it half full, there is still room for two dvds. A good buy if you use it as a flash drive, it is over priced otherwise. If you figure in ipodlinux, it just becomes more appealing, with all the additonal features . I havent gotten it to work, but others have, so it is worth a try.

The ipod has become iconic. If you really want a good mp3, then the nano is a great choice. just have the cash ready.
