My very first experience with Goldcar was a few years ago, when on a week holiday in Majorca I’ve been approached by a very friendly fellow who presented me the best deal for the length of my stay, and it had been the best I could get at the time.
I thank to that person once again, as he introduced me to a company that is worth everyone’s attention for peace of mind and hassle free car rental experience.
Why people have rated it poorly is out of my understanding, though rest assured it is one of the best on the market.
The main reason is their pro customer oriented business, as anyone will be given multiple rentals options to choose from, like having the option to pay an additional cover at a fair price so no deposit will be charged and put on hold on your bank account, by getting the cover you get the peace of mind in the event anything happens to the car, smooth process of collecting the car when choosing “Key’n Go” option and so forth.
To make it clear, I haven’t been paid by Goldcar to write this positive review, so it’s only based on true facts of what I’ve experienced with this company that I’m happy it exists in a cluttered world.
The vehicles condition as a whole on my all previous rentals had been exceptional, apart from some of them not having a proper screenwash, getting just tap water instead that it shouldn’t be used as a screenwash whatsoever. I am aware it’s not a big thing, though it is an important aspect of driving experience in a secure environment, as when collecting the car, it should have it in place.
This is the only aspect Goldcar has to work on, as on my last 2 rentals (1st in Greece May 2018 and the 2nd in Faro, Portugal September 2018) had found the same issue of the cars not being topped up with a basic screenwash, so every single time I had to buy some liquid to be driving safely, meaning to seeing the road properly through that autoglass.
Apart from what I’ve mentioned above, I have no second thoughts in recommending Goldcar to anyone.
